Alumni Services

Former students are the University College's most important ambassadors. All students automatically become members of the Alumni Network when they graduate.

The Alumni Network

There are many benefits to being part of the Alumni Network including:

  • Careers Advice Appointments and Workshops: NUCA offers free careers advice to alumni for up to three years after graduation or with an Alumni Card.
  • Alumni Magazine: Published twice a year, NUCA's Alumni Magazine brings you up-to-date news and developments from the University College as well as news on your fellow alumni.
  • Events and Networking: Alumni events are a great way to meet up with old friends and find out about developments taking place at the University College. Events include pub nights, networking, reunions and the annual End of Year Exhibitions. NUCA issues a monthly list that allows graduates to advertise events and exhibitions they are participating in. Promote your own events or subscribe to the mailing list by emailing the Alumni Office.
  • Reunions: If you would like to organise your own reunion we can help you find a venue and accommodation. We can also forward invites to lost friends on your behalf and publicise the event for you. In return we would love to hear how the event went and receive photos for our Alumni Magazine.

Further Study at NUCA

If you are thinking of continuing your studies or furthering your career with an MA, all NUCA graduates receive a £500 discount on course fees for all taught MA degrees.

Graduate Mentoring programme

Our Graduate Mentoring programme is now in its fourth year and offers students graduating from the University College the opportunity to receive career guidance, insight into the creative industries and advice on how they can get started in their chosen field. We are looking for graduates who are interested in becoming mentors and can offer the benefit of their own experience to help a new graduate start their own professional career. For more information please contact Caroline Bailey, Alumni and Development Officer at: c.bailey@nuca.ac.uk.

  • Write an article/profile for the alumni magazine
  • Offer work placements to current students or recent graduates who want to get some practical experience in their chosen field
