Information for Schools

All events are free of charge but may incur material costs depending on the activity.

Visits to NUCA

Come and see our world class facilities! We regularly arrange visits for individual school/college groups, which can be tailored to meet specific requirements. For example we can focus on a particular subject or aspect of the application process or university life. We also welcome invites to attend parent evenings and careers events.

HE Taster Days

Taster days provide a fantastic opportunity for school pupils to gain inspiration and experience within a higher education setting. With access to state-of-the-art facilities these hands-on, practical and FREE workshops will enable students to find out more about creative degrees. To ensure pupils receive individual advice and support places on these workshops are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. All courses are aimed at Year 12 and 13 students and will take place on campus at NUCA in the City Centre.

NUCA Visits to Your School or College

If you are unable to bring a group of your students to NUCA we can come to you. We have a team of staff and student ambassadors that can run activities for GCSE and A Level students such as:

  • Creative Workshops (Specified to your subject area)
  • Informative Presentations: An introduction to HE at NUCA and creative careers
  • Supportive Presentations: "Perfecting Your Portfolio" and "The Nature of a Sketchbook"
  • Mock Interviews
