2012 ArtMAD Cultural Olympiad CompetitionIf you are in year 10, 11, 12 or 13 studying arts, design or media subjects or with a passion for creativity outside school, you can win up to £500 for yourself AND £500 for your school art department. Interpret the Olympic motto Citius, Altius, Fortius (Faster, Higher, Stronger) in your own way. Make a 60 second film, design a book jacket, an outfit, a logo, paint a picture or take a photograph. PrizesShortlisted entries will be chosen and shown in an Exhibition at The Forum, Norwich from Saturday 31st March - Wednesday 10th April as part of NUCA - Live at The Forum and invited to the Private View on Monday 2nd April.

Your artwork may take any creative form in 2D or 3D, still or moving image. Your entry may relate to any of the creative disciplines studied at NUCA (Film, Animation, Graphics, Fashion, Textiles, Painting, Sculpture, Illustration, Games, Architecture or Photography) and NUCA particularly welcomes work that crosses the subject boundaries. Please note that moving image must be no longer than 60 seconds. Eligibility2012 ArtMAD is open to all Year 10,11,12 and 13 pupils studying arts, design or media subjects. Students in post-18 education are not permitted to enter. JudgingEntries will be judged on their creativity, originality, technical ability and relevance to the Olympic Theme. A shortlist will be compiled and will be announced on Friday 9th March 2012. Shortlisted entrants will be asked to submit the original artwork plus a statement of 150 words about the work (demonstrating the evolution of the idea). All shortlisted entries will be shown in a NUCA exhibition at The Forum in Norwich from 31st March until 10th April 2012 (so bear that in mind when considering size and materials). The winner will be announced at the Exhibition Private View on Monday 2nd April. *Subject to satisfactory interview, portfolio presentation and offer of a place. |
