APPLE SOFTWARE TRAINING FOR CREATIVE INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS
Introduction to Final Cut Pro 7 with Certification option
This four-day, hands-on course introduces students to the primary feature set and basic interface of Final Cut Pro. In this course you learn to perform basic editing functions while familiarizing yourself with the user interface. Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, Ripple, Roll, Slip and Slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.
Who Should Attend
This class is designed for anyone looking to edit professional-quality video with Final Cut Pro and who prefers hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore its functionality. Essential: an understanding of Mac OS X and basic computer navigation.
What You Will Learn
- Working with the Browser and Bins
- Marking clips, creating insert and overwrite edits and drag-and-drop editing
- Trimming edit points, using Ripple, Roll and Extend edits and the Slip and Slide tools
- Applying filters and changing Motion properties.
- Audio editing and audio creation
- Finishing and final output
Certification
One of the main aims of this course is to prepare students for Appleās Certified Pro examinations. These industry-recognised qualifications are a useful addition to your CV demonstrating that you are a confident and knowledgeable Final Cut Pro user.
If you wish you can take this exam at the end of the third day of your training under exam conditions. The pass mark is 80% and if you pass you become an "Apple Certified Pro" (Level 1). The Certification exam fee is £50.
