Qualifications and Entry Requirements
The majority of applicants will be invited to attend an interview. This is an invaluable chance for us to meet you face to face and is the major factor in determining the success of your submission. The interview gives us the opportunity to assess your work and the suitability of your application and also provides you with a chance to assess our staff, campus and facilities and ask questions of us.
The key focus of your application process is on your portfolio. As a minimum both Foundation and Honours Degree courses require applicants to have 200 tariff points, including the equivalent of two C grades at GCE Advanced level supported by passes in four other subjects at GCSE level (grade C or above).
A Foundation Diploma in Art and Design is often a valuable additional qualification. National Diploma or GNVQ Level 3 courses are also recognised entry qualifications. Applications may be considered from candidates who do not meet these minimum entry requirements. We welcome individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and previous educational or professional experiences, including those with nonstandard qualifications.
