As an alternative the interview can also take place by telephone, email or post, at the discretion of the Course Leader. As part of the process, students are required to submit a portfolio of work. International students can supply their portfolios in a number of different formats. These include sending digital prints, slides, photographs or CD ROMs of the work, or by directing us to an online portfolio. You will also need to provide examples of your written work.

All lectures, seminars and tutorials are delivered in English, therefore it is important for you to have a good level of English to be able to enjoy and benefit from the course. For our Foundation Degree, BA(Hons) and MA courses we require IELTS 6.0, or equivalent. For our MPhil and PhD courses candidates should be able to demonstrate good spoken and written English and expected to have an IELTS score of 7.0+, with 7.0 in writing, where applicable.
Other applicants that can demonstrate their fluency without an academic qualification will also be considered.
