Student Life
First and foremost NUCA is a small specialist creative organisation. Our dedication to the arts, design and media ensures our learning and teaching is comprehensive, considered and focused. Whilst our history can be traced back to 1845 we are very forward thinking. The quality of our research, teaching staff and resources are second to none. Connections with external partners including local and national businesses, take many forms including placements, talks, prizes, sponsorship and real commissions.
The University College library offers a huge, supportive and stimulating resource for students. It houses over 30,000 volumes, a collection of over 80,000 images, 2,500 DVDs and subscriptions to well over 100 journal titles and online resources.
NUCA is proud of its range of specialised workshops that cater for a wide range of creative activities with the assistance of an enthusiastic team of knowledgeable technical staff.
Norwich was the first city in the UK to experiment with a major free wi-fi scheme and we at NUCA continue to offer broad wireless connectivity within our campus and buildings. Supported by a proactive helpdesk, our IT network offers generous computer access.
You will be issued with an email account when you register and this will remain active for the duration of your studies. The University College intranet provides a host of information on a broad range of NUCA and course related issues.
